Noida Real Estate
Another fast growing suburb
of Delhi
Noida is a major planned and integrated city in the
National Capital Region (NCR). Noida came into existence
on 19th April, 1976.
Located at the doorstep of Delhi, NOIDA is only
14 Kms. away from Connaught Place and New Delhi Railway
Station, both of which are in the heart of New Delhi.
The 5.5 km. long, eight lanes, NOIDA Toll Bridge across
Yamuna connecting Maharani Bagh in Delhi to NOIDA has
further reduced the distance, time and cost of commuting
between Delhi and NOIDA. This famous DND Flyway receives
a good patronage from office-goers in the city.
NOIDA is bounded by NH-24 By-Pass in the North, beyond
which the Ghaziabad Development Area exists, in the
East by River Hindon beyond which Greater NOIDA
Industrial Development Area exists, in the West by River
Yamuna beyond which are the States of Delhi and Haryana
and in the South is the meeting point of the rivers
Yamuna and Hindon.
New Okhla Industrial Development Authority,
or NOIDA, is a department of the government of Uttar
Pradesh. It is a highly industrialised city with various
amenities available and is considered to be one of the
more modernised suburb districts of Uttar Pradesh. It
was developed near New Delhi as a modern industrial
city. The city is home to the Noida Export Processing
Zone (NEPZ) and many public and private sector offices.
About 35% of NOIDA is being developed into residential
areas. 450 sq. kilometers of land has been ear marked
as residential areas and the rest is meant for
group housing projects.
Noida is famous for the Sector 18 market. The Centerstage
Mall - which has the Wave Cinema - is a famous landmark.
In December 2005, North India's largest cineplex opened
in Spice Mall. Lately, Noida has become a hub for multinational
firms outsourcing IT services. Many large software and
BPO companies have their offices in the city. Film City
situated in Sector 16A is the hub of all major news
channels and famous studios. NOIDA has a Golf Course
of International Standards.
The Metro, which was slated to enter Noida in 2012
has now been planned for 2009, a year before the Commonwealth
games in 2010. Noida will be connected to the
CP station, via the Barakhambha Road-IP Estate-Akshardham
Complex link.
The Noida Authority came under fire recently, for their
controversial decision to build the world's tallest
Skyscraper, thereby putting Noida on the world map.
However, the decision was shelved, after protests from
citizens through the media, as the city does not have
the infrastructure to handle a 1 km. tall building.
Commercial activities have risen in the past
couple of years due to a sudden spurt in malls, multiplexes
and other real estate of Noida. Property
rates, as a consequence, are on the rise in the township.
To cope with the growth, a new city named Greater
Noida is being built east of Noida across the Hindon
River.
